Perfect Light

Morning light on a still winter day

This morning as I went out to feed the goats, I was greeted with the most perfect light and a dusting of snow that covered all the surfaces with a new glistening of white.  The sun was at an angle to accentuate the snowflakes in their haphazard positions as they cling to the tree limbs and reflect the stillness of the day. Past the winter solstice so daylight is coming back a few precious minutes each day.  With mornings like this, it's easy to see why we crave the sunlight.

It was an enjoyable holiday with an eight inch blanket of snow on the ground.  Should mean good moisture for spring growing.  Christmas was a wonderful time.  As one of our gifts, we've added a new banner to our inventory that highlights the bounty of the harvest.  Can't wait to use it next spring!
